ARATHUSA
Located in the Sabi Sands game reserve, part of the Greater Kruger Park, Arathusa is the perfect location for life-changing game viewing including the much acclaimed Big Five. Arathusa prides itself on the area's abundant leopard population, with approximately 14 Leopards calling the area of which Arathusa operates home. This region is a bird watcher's mecca, with a few rare species seen from the lodge it's self, a beautiful example is the Horus Swift. An Arathusa safari will leave you relaxed and reconnected to nature!
Arathusa’s signature water hole lies directly in front of the lodge, this body of water attracts many different species of animals, guests are often treated to an incredible range of sightings without having to leave the lodge! The dam wall marks a boundary for a few territorial leopard such as the Tortoise Pan male who has started patrolling the area. The roars of the Evoka male lions can often be heard in the early hours of the morning, calling out and marking their territory. Enjoy a Breakfast or lunch accompanied by a heard of elephants playing in the water one of natures most breathtaking views.
